New Year's announcement of more films in development

1/8/2020

I plan on developing more films based on the backstories of major characters performing ultimatums.  "Be Ultimate" and "Be Black" will depict the triumph of Brute and the marital relationship of the White Gaud and Black Queen.

Teaser Film Being Produced

11/6/2019

Post-production editing is continuing on a teaser film for the web series Visit Eden.  But, it needs to go back into production to finish the final scene.  It is the story of how a clueless, biracial, debutante named Eden Negress comes into the Order of the Diaspora through the machinations of Lafante Industries.

WTF?

10/26/2018

I just saw the movie adaptations of The Hate U Give and Black Klansman since the last post.  Both were very poignant and clever depictions of the Black experience in America.  As a racist satire and allegory,  Ultimate Voyages is also about the Black experience in America.  As a child growing up, I imagined my coloring books published by Whitman as being characterizations of the White Man.  Having heard discussions around the broadcast of Roots and viewing it,  I was frightened by its characterization of the Black Man.  Now since TV host Megyn Kelly is off the air for mentioning blackface and whiteface,  I wonder what the fuss is all about.  I dressed up as the Six Million Dollar Man, Superman and other white superheroes so I guess that was me being in whiteface.  But, I thought nothing of it; just like what Megyn Kelly is being "lynched" for.  However, my creative efforts at dramatizing the silliness of it all is still considered offensive and too political.  I like what I have done and believe there is an audience that wants to take my journey through language and history to America's destiny.

Everytime a Black man has done this

7/8/2018

Everytime a Black man has asserted his place in world history to better the lives of his race, he has been deported, overthrown, even assassinated.  In fact, the only time a man, who self-identified himself as Black, was elected to the highest office in the most powerful country actually said he wasn’t there just for Black people.  Yet, the dream, the ballot or the bullet wasn’t decisive enough to sustain a United States of Africa for the African. But in 2008, from the failed public policies of negro rule and white supremacy, characters appeared in a story that could only be told through comic books, a game book, video game and a web series.  An adventure for the Black community to experience and all others to witness. An escape into another dimension hidden in your mind. Black people are winning. The struggle has been won. Black communities rebuilt through an initiative of nation builders; American and New African. Who are these New Africans? You are one of them.

Corporate White American Blackness

6/23/2018

As I am looking for effective ways to reach our audience,  I am constantly reminded that my blackness doesn't or shouldn't matter.  But, it does.  Many books, films, video games are becoming saturated with faces of color.  But, there is no mention or connection to the alienation that colored peopled have suffered at the hands of corporate white America.  Is it enough to see a black protaganist (usually antagonist) in a "white story" or a black cast in a romantic comedy or satire?  Is that all there is or can there be more to representation?  Corporate white American blackness is political correctness  in racial dialogues, images and relations.  White Americans must ultimately be entertained and unprovoked.  Finding a celebrity following that empathizes with alienation is tricky.  Corporate white American blackness makes everyone feel good and safe.  .But, it is this alienation from being our best  that is at the heart of corporate white America.  Black males dropping out of school because their role models or mentors are rappers or ball players.  Black churches are left to aging females.  Not enough black policemen, lawyers or ministers who are getting to know them before their lives get into trouble.  Colleges are not  guaranteeing them a way into corporate white America.  Where is corporate Black America?  Are non-profits and social services the only places that thrive off of our misery? Whose recruiting us?

Lifestyle and social influencing

6/10/2018

The real reason this brand was created was to provide a lifestyle and social influence.  I will consider myself successful once I have recruited 50 social media influencers who are invested in 'Ultimate Voyages' and adding followers from their networks.  Professionally, I  want to be included in 'Who's Who in Black America' and part of civic discussions at the City Club.  I deserve to be rewarded with a lifestyle that creates social engagement and profit sharing.  As a follower or influencer of my brand, you benefit from this unique conversation and excursion in Black American culture.  A comic book, game book, video game and web series are used to create a dynamic experience that pays all of us for enjoying something that passes the time and improves our quality of life.

Win a virtual dream date

For those of you who have earned a Bedroom Community Townhome, you win a virtual dream date with this lovely lady.  You can chat with her.  I'll tell you how.

Comic books out of print, not in demand

4/21/2018

The comic books and storybook will no longer be available online due to high cost of printing on demand.  The bookstore's fee to print a low page count was deterring readers. I am selling copies on hand through local conventions, perhaps Genghis Con or Anansi Artists Alliance.

Racism

12/12/2017

Richard Henry Pratt first coined the use of the term "racism" in a speech given in 1902 decrying its segregation of peoples.  Segregation stagnated the growth and development of segregated peoples and association of races and classes would destroy it.  He was also quoted as saying "Kill the Indian...save the man!"  which meant that killing the savage culture and language of a people civilized them and made them more acceptable.  This is what has happened to all non-European people especially southern and sub-Saharan peoples.  As people of African descent, our connection to Africa is the Indian that must be killed in order to save our civilization.  The White Gaud is like Richard Henry Pratt.  He believes that Black America must expunge itself of Africa in order to survive.

Micro aggression

11/21/2017

When Black people are outted for sounding white or liking white music, it is a "microaggression" a term coined by Chester M. Pierce, a psychiatrist and Harvard professor, in 1970.  These are insults and dismissals against marginalized groups.  I have experienced these micro aggressions growing up especially as my identity was developing.  I suppose it can also mean that the person dealing the micro aggression feels hurt or betrayed by my identity.  Ultimate Voyages solves the problem of dealing with micro aggressions during this time period because it offers a venue for the anxiety and confusion it causes.  Later in life, I participated in African Ancestry DNA research and found out that I am 100% tribal West African on  both sides of my parents.  Since this is so, why would my identity gravitate towards white American sounds and such?  Out of curiousity, of course.  Which is the reason the  micro aggression occurred in the first place.   Feeling oppressed because you are marginalized doesn't  have to involve witty comebacks.  Understanding your curiosity and playing with it is a natural condition.   I created Ultimate Voyages: the Comic Gaming Adventure Brand as a solution to moments of micro aggression!  It is a respite or relief from something difficult or unpleasant.  Now,  I am curious about my African ancestry as it has been incorporated in my American identity.  You should be too!

Has anyone ever told you that "you talk funny for a Black person?" or how about  "you look like you're trying to be white!".  While it isn't true that white people will confuse you,  it is up to them to decide who passes in their inner circle not me or you.

I decided to make a game based on characters from a story that I wrote in 2008.  I'm taking the niggativity out of the Black experience through gameplay.
